Do this before creating a campaign
You need a connected WhatsApp Business Account and an Approved template. For Marketing templates, send only to people who have opted in to receive promotional messages.
Create a broadcast, step by step
- Open Campaign.
Where: Left sidebar → Outbound → Campaign. Select Outbound, then choose the Campaign or Broadcast option. - Create the campaign.
Where: the campaign screen. Add a clear internal name and description so your team can identify the campaign later. - Choose an approved template.
Where: the template selector. Select a template with the status Approved. Pending or rejected templates cannot be sent. - Choose the audience.
Where: the audience section. Choose all contacts, a segment, or a manual selection. For your first test, choose only your internal test segment. - Map template variables.
Where: the variable-mapping section. Match each template variable to the right contact field, such as name or order ID. - Schedule or send.
Where: the final campaign action. Choose a schedule or send now only after reviewing the audience and preview carefully. - Monitor the result.
Where: the campaign detail page. Check sent, delivered, read, and failed counts after the campaign begins.
Final safety check
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Template is Approved | Pending or rejected templates cannot send. |
| Audience expects this message | Unwanted Marketing messages can hurt quality and engagement. |
| Variables have correct data | Wrong mapping can cause send errors or poor customer experience. |
| You tested a small segment | You can catch issues before a large send. |
